PHA Centers of Comprehensive Care

History

The University of Wisconsin (UW) Pulmonary Hypertension Program was established 10 years ago by Dr. James Runo to evaluate and manage PAH patients with oral, inhaled and parenteral therapies. The program is housed within the UW Hospital and Clinics, an academic medical center with 24-hour access to emergency and critical care services, surgical and medical specialties, catheterization lab, echocardiogram and radiology services. With a growing patient population and new research and treatment options, the program is multidisciplinary in the outpatient and inpatient setting. The outpatient clinic is located in the hospital campus, with diagnostic testing and patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
