Center Coordinator

History

The Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program began in the early 1970s under Alfred P. Fishman, MD. In 1984, Harold Palevsky, MD became the Medical Director, and Christine Archer-Chicko, MSN, CRNP started caring for pulmonary hypertension patients in 1993. In 2008, Steven Kawut, MD, MS became the Director of the combined program with clinical sites at the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
