History

The Pulmonary Hypertension Program at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) was created in October 2000 after splitting off from the Heart and Lung Transplantation Programs. The UTSW PH program is located within a tertiary academic teaching facility, providing immediate access to numerous subspecialists as well as specialty labs in echocardiography, radiology, nuclear medicine and pulmonary function testing. Patients are seen five days per week with at least two PAH providers in clinic every day.
