History

The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Pulmonary Hypertension program was started in 2003 by medical director Russel Hirsch, MD. Program coordinators—Michelle Cash, APRN and Melissa Magness—joined the program in 2007 and 2015, respectively as full-time nurse practitioners. Since this time, the services provided by the program have expanded and include dedicated nursing, genetic counseling, pharmacy, social services, and research personnel.
