About the Speaker

Vineet Agrawal, M.D., Ph.D.
Vineet Agrawal, M.D., Ph.D., is assistant professor of medicine in the division of cardiovascular medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He completed his bachelor’s degree in electrical and biomedical engineering at Duke University. Dr. Agrawal earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in cellular and molecular pathology at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his internal medicine training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and his clinical fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Agrawal’s research is focused on understanding the biologic mechanisms that lead to the development of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), pulmonary hypertension due to left heart disease, and specifically right ventricular dysfunction.
