Eric Austin, M.D., is a physician-scientist and educator. He is a pediatric pulmonologist specializing in pediatric pulmonary medicine and rare and common pediatric pulmonary diseases at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. Dr. Austin is the director of the Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) Clinical and Research Program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, an accredited PH Care Center (PHCC), where he treats individuals with PH and other pulmonary vascular diseases. Additionally, he is director of the MSCI Training Program at Vanderbilt and an associate professor of pediatrics. Dr. Austin is involved in translational longitudinal research of children and adults with PH. He is a longtime member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and has served on the PHCC steering committee, as co-chair of the Research Room committee for the 2014 PHA Conference and on other advisory committees.
