Description

Understanding Pulmonary Hypertension, published by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA), is designed to provide an introduction and overview of the disease. If you are recently diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (PH), we encourage you to keep this booklet handy as you discuss your disease and treatment with your PH specialist. Space is provided for notes.

Understanding PH is organized into sections that explain what you need to know about PH symptoms, types of PH, testing, diagnosing and treating the disease. If you suspect that you or someone you know might have PH, please refer them to a PH specialist.

This print publication is 28 pages with a glossary of terms, a short list of questions for patients to ask, and a foldout section with a flow chart outlining the diagnostic process from the suspicion of PH through detection and group and type identification. This resource was redesigned in 2017 and has been medically reviewed.

This resource is available to non-members for $10, and individually to PHA members at a discounted rate of $7.50, and in quantities of 25 or more at a rate of $5.00 per item. If you do not have the member discount code provided to you in your confirmation email, please contact us at membership@PHAssociation.org. To receive the bulk discount rate for members, please contact PHA at medical@PHAssociation.org.
