The 2019 Pulmonary Pints: PubDay for PH will return on Oct. 26 for its 11th year at Nick’s Fish House in Baltimore, Md., for a day of live music, great food and drinks, raffles, door prizes, and more!

The event was established by the Boehk family in 2009 to raise awareness about pulmonary hypertension (PH) and funding for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s (PHA’s) research, support and education efforts.

The event is held each year in memory of Kathy Boehk, who battled PH for more than 10 years. Kathy believed in PHA’s mission of extending and improving the lives of those affected by PH, and she hoped that one day a cure for PH would be found. Kathy lost her battle with PH in October 2009, shortly after the first Pulmonary Pints event. Her daughters, Katy (Boehk) Hayes and Ashley Boehk, who manage the event, are dedicated to carrying on their mother’s legacy. They hope that the success of Pulmonary Pints will contribute to helping other PH families around the country.  During the past 11 years, the Boehk family has raised more than $100,000 for PHA and its programs.

“I am excited for our event each year because it has consistently grown and brings many people together for the common good of supporting PHA, efforts that will hopefully lead to finding a cure one day,” Katy shares. “My sister and I continue this event in memory of our mom, Kathy Boehk, and for the other moms, dads, children and friends who live with PH.”
