Researchers who study pulmonary hypertension (PH) can apply now to advance their research at the PHA 2020 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions, which brings the PH community to Anaheim, California, to learn, connect and share a focus on a common “Vision for a Cure.” In addition, all attendees at PHA 2020 may take part in PH research conducted in PHA 2020’s Research Room, which is open June 11 through June 14.

Since its inception in 1994, PHA’s Conference has focused on building community among those affected with PH while providing a unique forum for experts and lay people alike to learn, dialogue and advance PH research. The Research Room, which has been held at every Conference since 1994, is a perennial favorite among health care and patient registrants. Researchers have the rare opportunity to collect data for their individual studies from the largest gathering of PH patients in the world in the Research Room.  Patients get the satisfaction of knowing they are advancing research while PH experts can collect valuable data that can further their own investigations into PH.

In 2018 at PHA’s Conference in Orlando, Florida, PHA hosted 10 research teams from across the U.S. More than 200 attendees participated. The research conducted in the Research Room has led directly to new PH discoveries, like this study that collected data from fitness devices and smart phones. Researchers who are interested in gathering data in the Research Room must submit an investigator application form by March 8.

Visit the Research Room page for more information and daily hours. Early Bird Registration for Conference is now open at PHAssociation.org/PHA2020.
