Darby Hetrick was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (PH) when she was only 2 years old. She needed to be on a life-sustaining, I.V. infused medication 24/7, and eventually was able to move to a subcutaneous pump. These medications enabled her to breathe easier, grow, and to be much more active.
In this video from The Right Heart blog series, Darby’s story is told through accounts from Darby, her parents (Scott and Christi) and her physician, Brian Hanna, ,MDCM, PhD, FAAP, FACC, of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). CHOP is a PHA-accredited PH Care Center.
Dr. Hanna will host a Facebook Live chat on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017.
