The Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s (PHA’s) The Right Heart blog brings you a story about 17-year-old Anna Lindner, who lives with idiopathic pulmonary hypertension (PH). Anna was diagnosed with PH when she was 6 years old. “From then on, my life completely changed,” Anna says. “I had to stop gymnastics and soccer. I watched my parents struggle with the diagnosis just as much as I did. They sacrificed so much for me. My sister, who is three years older than me, sacrificed her time and attention as a kid to be a supportive daughter, sister and friend to me.”

As the years passed, in spite of the hardships of living with PH, Anna eventually found clarity. Every day Anna finds reasons to be thankful and continues to do the things she loves like horseback riding. “My experience with PH has taught me so much, and it continues to teach me every day,” Anna says.

Anna wants to remind those affected by PH that they are not alone. Read Anna’s inspiring story about how she has grown since her diagnosis in The Right Heart blog.
