Thanks for Sharing Your Treatment-Access Challenges With Congress

The pulmonary hypertension (PH) community surpassed the PHA 2022 challenge to send 500 messages to Congress in support of the Safe Step Act.

By the end of PHA 2022 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions, the community sent 565 messages to 198 legislative offices. The messages came from people in 40 states, plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.

The Safe Step Act would require insurers to provide exceptions to step therapy requirements for people with high-risk health conditions such as PH. The Pulmonary Hypertension Association hopes to see the bill receive a committee hearing and markup this summer, thanks to your outpouring of support. PHA continues to push for Congress to pass the bill by the end of the year.
