After much consideration, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) has decided that support group meetings should remain virtual through the end of the year.
The decision was influenced by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data on COVID19 community spread and input from PHA’s Board of Trustees, Scientific Leadership Council and Support Group Leader Advisory Board. PHA plans to update this policy by Jan. 15, 2022.
While the need to postpone the return to in-person meetings is disappointing, PHA believes virtual meetings are the safest choice for the community at this time.
PHA support group leaders are committed to supporting people with pulmonary hypertension, caregivers and loved ones throughout the pandemic. Remember: virtual meetings allow you to attend any meeting, no matter where the group is located.
