This webinar will focus on WHO Group 4 pulmonary hypertension (PH), chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), and will include information about what makes CTEPH unique from other types of PH and why it is important to rule out CTEPH in patients with PH. Dr. Rodriguez-Lopez earned her BA in Biology and French from Boston College and her MD from NYU School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Columbia University Medical Center. She began her career with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Montefiore Medical Center. In 2013, Dr. Rodriguez-Lopez moved to Boston where she was named Associate Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Pulmonary Hypertension and Thromboendarterectomy Program and joined Harvard School of Medicine as a Clinical Instructor. Since 2015, she has also served as the Director of MGH’s Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangectasia Program. Dr. Rodriguez-Lopez is board certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Pulmonary Disease. Her research focuses on chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and post pulmonary embolism syndrome.
