Dear friends,

As World PHA Day approaches, please join PHA on May 5 to observe this important global event led by our partner PHA Europe.

This year’s campaign, “Hope in Every Trial,” focuses on the importance of clinical trials and how trials can improve care for people with pulmonary hypertension.

PHA believes that progress in PH care depends on continued investment in research. Clinical trials are a critical part of that work. The trials help researchers better understand PH, evaluate potential treatments and improve care over time. They also create opportunities for people with PH to contribute to future advancements that could benefit the entire community.

How you can help

Advancing PH research starts with people choosing to get involved. If you have PH you can play a critical role by participating in studies or enrolling in the PHA Registry, if you’re eligible. Sometimes, family members or friends can participate in studies, too.

As part of this year’s World PH Day observance, PHA will share information and resources about clinical trials, including:

  • Why they matter
  • What participation might involve
  • How patients and families can learn more about available opportunities
  • How to participate

Our goal is to help the PH community better understand the research process. We also strive to address common questions and encourage you to discuss potential participation with your care team.

The “Hope in Every Trial” campaign features stories from people with PH who have participated in clinical trials. The campaign also encourages advocacy for broader access to trials in countries that may lack them.

The participants’ experiences help illustrate why research matters, why access to clinical trials remains a priority and how participation can contribute to progress in PH care.

Please like and share our posts on World PH Day and throughout May. As always, I look forward to hearing from you.

With gratitude and respect,
