The Pulmonary Hypertension Association updates the status of these nonprofit charitable assistance funds as they change.
- The Assistance Fund. The Pulmonary Hypertension Copay Assistance Program Top of Form is accepting waitlist applications. All insurance types are eligible, including Medicare and commercial insurance. Call 855-649-8623 to join the waitlist.
- HealthWell Foundation’s PH Medicare Access fund is accepting Medicare recipients for copay and insurance premium assistance. Visit the foundation’s website to apply online or call 800-675-8416 to apply by phone.
- HealthWell Foundation’s Pediatric Assistance Fund is closed. The fund is for pediatric patients with certain conditions other than PH. Learn more about eligibility criteria for the copay assistance fund or sign up for fund alerts. Call 800-675-8416 to apply online.
- HealthWell’s General Travel Fund is closed. The fund provides up to $500 for qualified travel expenses related to disease treatment and management. To apply, you must have an active HealthWell copay assistance grant (within 18 months of travel application). Call 800-675-8416 to learn about benefits.
- PAN Foundation is accepting all insurance types for PH copay assistance. Visit the foundation website or call 866-316-7263 to apply.
- PAN Foundation Transportation Fund. Closed. PAN Foundation offers $500 transportation grants to use for gas, parking, public transportation, taxis, airfare and more.
- Patient Advocate Foundation is accepting applications for its medical insurance premium assistance. The PH copay relief fund isn’t accepting applications now. Call 866-512-3861.
- The PAN Foundation’s Fund Finder sends notices when assistance funds are available from several charitable organizations. Learn more about Fund Finder and sign up.
- Patient Advocate Foundation’s Case Management Program provides free insurance navigation assistance, disability application assistance and a financial resources directory. Visit the website for more information or call 800-532-5274, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.
- NeedyMeds connects people to programs that will help them pay for their medications. It also offers a drug discount card for people with commercial insurance. The organization has databases of manufacturer assistance programs, patient assistance programs and other prescription assistance resources for brand and generic treatments.
- National Organization for Rare Disorders offers financial assistance for insurance premiums and copays, emergencies and natural disasters, travel, caregiver respite and more. Visit the website for more information about NORD’s financial resources.
- Insure Kids Now is a national campaign to link the nation’s 10 million uninsured children – from birth to age 18 – to free and low-cost health insurance through the Children’s Health Insurance Program and Medicaid.
