    As the Pulmonary Hypertension Association turns 35, we have much to celebrate. In the past three decades, PHA has achieved many wins in fulfilling our mission. As we continue our work to improve and extend the lives of people affected by PH, we’re looking forward to PHA 2026 International PH Conference, Rare Disease Day on Feb. 28 and our March 9 advocacy event on Capitol Hill.

  • Join Us in Celebrating World PH Day

    Please join PHA in observing World Pulmonary Hypertension Day on May 5. World PH Day is a global effort to raise PH awareness. Led by PHA Europe, this year’s campaign “Sometimes it’s Pulmonary Hypertension,” draws attention to the challenges of getting an accurate diagnosis. The campaign brings together people from around the world to shed light on the frustrating, frightening journey patients experience before hearing “It’s PH.”

  • New Challenges Threaten Care Access Since Pandemic

    Five years after the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 to be a pandemic, new challenges threaten access to affordable health care, critical research and the wellbeing of the PH community. During these unsettling times, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association continues to advocate for policies that guarantee access to quality care.

    This month, PHA encourages people with PH, family members, friends and health care professionals to raise awareness about the link between pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. Join us in promoting heart health for American Heart Month and PH awareness on Rare Disease Day.

    The Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s 2023 Annual Report is now available online. This year’s report shows PHA’s impact on those we serve through first-person impact stories and reflects our achievements from the previous year. The report demonstrates how PHA helped the PH community Live PHearlessly, reflecting our 2023 PH Awareness Month campaign.     Whether you’re with us in Indianapolis this weekend or reading PHA News from your home, clinic or lab, we have much to celebrate. This is our 15th conference since 1994. We’re launching a podcast and new Spanish-language versions of our PH& brochure series. We’ve also updated the content and design of the English versions.

    As World Pulmonary Hypertension Day approaches, please join PHA and the global PH community to mark this longstanding and important awareness campaign. World PH Day is May 5, but many related events take place throughout the month. This global initiative organized by PHA Europe underscores the importance of early diagnosis, nurturing hope, guaranteeing accessible treatment for people with PH, providing comprehensive care, and striving towards a definitive cure.

  • New PAH Treatments Increase Patient Options

    Pulmonary hypertension treatment has come a long way since PHA’s founding in 1991. In the past week, the Food and Drug Administration approved the 15th and 16th treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension. Read about the new treatments in PHA’s CEO Update.

  • PHA celebrates 10 years of accredited care centers

    As we begin a new year, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association celebrates the 10th anniversary of its accreditation program for PH Care Centers. Today, there are more than 85 accredited centers, and nearly 20 more applications are under review.
